Are Chinese automakers ready for world stage?
In 2009, we saw China surpass the United States as the largest automobile market in the world. It has also overtaken Japan as the world’s largest automobile producer. These achievements seem even more incredible when we consider that less than 3% of Chinese citizens own their vehicle. This phenomenal growth, from 30,000 passenger cars to 8.3 million per year, is accelerating even more. China is also busy building expressways to accommodate all these vehicles. From 2001 to 2005 over 15,000 miles were added which by now has reached over 25,000 miles. Total expressway miles in China will surpass 46,000 miles in the United States within the next decade.

Chinese cars that could do wonders in Pakistan
People of Pakistan if someday decide to go against the odds and buy any of the following cars, then they may create an atmosphere for change. Getting rid of the mafia that drives you, should be our responsibility, since we have the power to not buy resale for few months, and eventually, the following Chinese substitutes will have the same resale as the cars on our streets have today.

Why General Tire is a P.R. Disaster
Uncle Ben told Peter Parker that son, ’with great power comes great responsibility’. Similarly, Our President also told his son, ‘with great power comes absolutely no responsibility’.
Perhaps our President spoke a bit too loud that most chiefs of Pakistani companies took the oath of loyalty to the infamous quote of our President.
The constant brouhaha about social responsibility, innovation, creativity, etc through various advertisement campaigns by our companies are to improve their sales, as only innovation the companies do is changing sales figures, creativity is something known to the graphic designers and they bunked the class of social responsibility.

Two wheelers on the motorway
On the 23rd of March 2010 motorway stakeholders embraced the biker community of Pakistan. Lahore Bikers Club hosted the first, official, bike rally of Pakistan in collaboration with the National Highway and Motorway Police. The Ravi toll plaza was a spectacle for the media, and our politicians weren’t too far behind either, though they were fashionably late.
